Look to reward students with feathers for being mindful, responsible, respectful, and having integrity.
Please don't write on the feathers. They are recirculated after counting every Friday. Email House feather counts to Mrs. Sanchez. Integrate random questioning with 3x5 cards, popsicle sticks, or digitally. Establish Redirectional/Quiet Signal. Actively teach from bell to bell. Active supervision is a must. Please do not release students until 3:45 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 1:45 PM on Wednesday. Check your email at least twice a day and read the weekly BBEA News.
K-4th Students Restroom Sign-In/Out and Passes: Thank you to everyone who has your restroom sign-in/out sheet in a visible location for students, and thank you to those using restroom passes or passes to other areas on campus. If you are not currently using either system, please implement immediately.
5th-8th Students are allotted one restroom break prior to lunch and after lunch. Please call administration if there is an instance outside of these guidelines.
Classroom Management Tip of the Week - To keep students safe and hallways calm, always have students walk in a straight, quiet line with an adult leading or closely monitoring the group. Teach and reinforce clear expectations such as “hands to self, eyes forward, voices off,” and stop the line immediately if behavior becomes unsafe. Consistent routines and active supervision help prevent accidents and keep transitions smooth. |

Behind every successful school day at Bernard Black Entrepreneurial Academy is a team that works tirelessly, often before the sun rises and long after the lunch bell rings — our incredible BBEA Cafeteria Team!

From early morning preparation to the final cleanup, their professionalism, teamwork, and heart make a difference in the lives of our students and staff. They are a vital part of the BBEA family and the culture of excellence we are building together. IXL School-wide Academic Initiative "Give Me 30" |
BBEA is participating in a school-wide academic initiative, “Give Me 30”, designed to strengthen student skills in Math and English Language Arts as we prepare for upcoming state testing. This principal-led, student-driven effort uses IXL Learning to promote consistent practice, academic growth, and mastery of essential standards. Students are encouraged to spend 30 minutes a day engaging with IXL learning to build confidence and sharpen the skills they need to succeed. We ask our parents and guardians to partner with us by:
Encouraging your child to use IXL Learning regularly at home. Celebrating their progress and growth. Reinforcing the importance of effort, persistence, and practice.
Together, when school and family work as one, we can accelerate learning and help every student reach their full potential. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work to ensure success for all BBEA students. All students have been provided with program login credentials. If you have any questions or experience any login issues, please contact BBEA’s Front Office for assistance. |
