goals

📊 Our Kennedy Schoolwide Goals 📊

At Kennedy, we believe in setting high expectations for learning and working together to help every scholar succeed. This year, our goals are:

  • 📚 Reading & Math: Strive for at-least 45% proficiency in both Reading and Math by the end of the school year.

  • 🌎 English Language Learners: Support our EL scholars so that at least 15% are reclassified as fully proficient in English.

With your partnership at home and our dedication at school, we know our scholars can rise to the challenge! Together, we can make it happen. 💙

📝 Beginning of the Year Data

testing 1

Kennedy Families,

Over the past few weeks, our students were administered the Beginning-of-Year (BOY) benchmark assessments. These tests provide each child’s baseline score and will be used throughout the year to measure growth and progress. The results help teachers identify gaps in learning and tailor instruction to ensure every student receives the support they need.

Below you’ll find a table with our schoolwide grade-level benchmark data. This gives you a snapshot of how each grade level is performing at the start of the year.

If you would like a more detailed report specific to your child, please reach out to your child’s teacher through the Apptegy platform to request a copy of their STAR Report.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us achieve excellence at Kennedy!

Social Skills

The 3 B’s—Building a Positive School Culture

Throughout September, our school is focusing on learning and practicing our School Expectations—known as the 3 B’s:

✅ Be Safe
✅ Be Respectful
✅ Be Responsible

We encourage you to talk with your child at home about what the 3 B’s look like in the classroom, cafeteria, playground, and beyond. By working together, we can help all of our scholars grow in both academics and character.

Each morning, teachers engage students in lessons and conversations about social skills that help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. Our scholars have also been learning and practicing our school-wide expectations throughout the campus—whether in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, or playground.

We will continue to build and reinforce these expectations throughout the month of September to create a safe, respectful, and responsible school environment for everyone.

Thank you for partnering with us in encouraging your child to practice the 3 B’s every day! Together, we are creating a positive and supportive learning community.

Breakfast Reminder

🍎 Friendly Reminder: Breakfast Time

Breakfast is served daily from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM.

To prevent disruptions to learning, we kindly ask that if your child will be eating breakfast at school, they arrive between 7:30–8:00 AM. Once instruction begins at 8:00 AM, students will no longer be able to eat breakfast in class.

Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth start to the day for all scholars! 🌟
