How to Support Student Learning at Home |

Key early literacy skills include phonological awareness—the ability to hear and play with sounds in language. Parents and caregivers can support these skills by reading aloud daily, playing games with letter sounds, pointing out letters and words in the environment, and encouraging early writing.
